Pressure Balanced DBB Design

Double Block and Bleed
Two independent sealing barriers isolate the upstream and downstream process sides. With the valve closed, the central cavity can be accessed through the bleed connection for controlled pressure release.

Pressure-Balanced Plug
Internal balancing passages reduce the pressure differential acting on the plug during operation, helping control operating torque under line pressure.

Intermediate Cavity Isolation
The cavity between the two seating barriers provides a defined point for pressure monitoring or release after the main line sections are isolated.

Materials & Configuration Options

Body & Seat Materials
The valve body is available in ASTM A216 WCB or WCC carbon steel. PTFE/RPTFE and metal-to-metal seat configurations are available for different service conditions.

End Connections
RF and RTJ flanged ends, butt-weld ends and threaded connections can be specified to match the piping interface.

Actuation
Manual lever or gear operation is available for manual service. Pneumatic, electric and electro-hydraulic actuators can be specified for remote or automated operation.

Project Requirements
Sour-service, fire-safe and other project-specific configurations can be specified where required. NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 and API 607 requirements can be incorporated into the applicable valve configuration.

Applications & Service Conditions

Oil & Gas Pipeline Systems
Pipeline terminals, metering skids, pig launcher and receiver stations, and manifolds where high-pressure line sections require isolation before maintenance.

Refining & Petrochemical Systems
Hydrocarbon transfer lines, catalyst isolation points and emergency isolation loops requiring separate isolation of process sections.

Power Generation
High-temperature steam isolation and auxiliary boiler feed-water systems where valve materials and seating need to match the operating temperature.

Chemical Processing
Process lines handling hazardous, volatile or toxic media where equipment isolation is required before opening, inspection or maintenance.

Inspection & Documentation

Pressure & Seat Testing
Hydrostatic body testing and seat leakage testing are performed according to the applicable API 6D/API 598 requirements. Test records are available with the supplied valve.

Functional & Dimensional Inspection
Valve operation, end connections and specified critical dimensions are checked against the approved valve configuration before shipment.

Material Traceability
Body material is verified against the specified ASTM grade, with heat-number traceability maintained through material records.

Inspection Documents
EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates and pressure test records are supplied with the valve. SGS, Bureau Veritas or TÜV third-party inspection can be arranged when required.

FAQ

Q: What is the MOQ for Carbon Steel Pressure Balanced DBB Valves?

A: MOQ depends on the valve configuration and order quantity. Please provide the required size, pressure class and quantity for a quotation.

Q: What is the lead time for an order?

A: Standard configurations typically require 2–4 weeks. Custom or project orders generally require 4–8 weeks, depending on material availability and inspection requirements.

Q: How are the valves packaged for export shipment?

A: Valves are packed in IPPC-certified plywood cases, with anti-rust treatment on internal surfaces and heavy-duty plastic caps protecting the valve ends.

Q: What information is marked on the shipping crates?

A: Crate labels include the PO number, model code, valve size, pressure rating and heat number for shipment identification and traceability.

Q: Can I review the valve drawing before production?

A: Yes. General Arrangement (GA) drawings can be provided for dimensional review and approval before production.

Q: What information should I provide for a quotation?

A: Please provide the valve size, pressure class, end connection, seat material, operating conditions, actuation and quantity. Project specifications, inspection requirements and documentation requirements can also be included.

Q: What documents are supplied with the shipment?

A: EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates and pressure test records are supplied with the valve, covering material and test results.
